My goals are to help you:

  • Find organizing solutions that work for you
  • Help you feel better about yourself, your home, office and life in general
  • Teach you new organizing skills
  • Improve your efficiency and productivity at home and work
  • Help you reach the “Ahhh, this is so much better” feeling you’ll have when we finish our work

My approach to organizing is to:

  • Listen carefully to your description of what’s bothering you and what you want to accomplish through the organizing process and ask questions to be sure I understand your unique situation
  • Work with you to develop a plan that makes sense to you for tackling your organizing challenge(s)
  • Offer ideas and suggestions related to the organizing process itself and also solutions to your needs and be sure you understand my ideas
  • Pay attention to what’s working and what isn’t while we work and change what isn’t working for you
  • Always give you the final word in all we do, from how we tackle the work to how we organize your paperwork, home or office, and of course what you keep, donate, recycle or throw away

In addition to the dozens of clients I’ve worked with, my qualifications include membership in the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO), NAPO’s North Carolina Chapter and the Institute for Challenging Disorganization. These organizations provide conferences, continuing education and educational resources and camaraderie for professional organizers.

What customers are saying about Central Carolina Organizing:

“I really appreciate all of Deanne’s help. I could never have handled this difficult job [cleaning out deceased mother’s apartment] without this type of professional assistance. She was so knowledgeable and well organized.” A.R. Chapel Hill, NC

“Deanne helped me organize my head, not just my things. By tackling age old documents and files, I was able to better prioritize my current endeavors. Deanne’s sensitivity, handy legal background, utter trustworthiness and ability to break down big tasks into a logical sequence of smaller steps, reduced insurmountable chaos into a series of finite organizational goals. She has a practical sense of how real humans use space — be it in the file cabinet, the office, or kitchen. Her insightful observations have helped me streamline numerous, time consuming, ‘little’ tasks and thus freed me to focus on bigger objectives . Thank you, Deanne!”   P.M., Chapel Hill, NC.

“Thank you again for all your help with my parents: downsizing, getting them moved to assisted living and their home sold.” M.H., Columbia, MD

“You are so good at what you do. I just totally appreciate you.” — J.W., Pittsboro, NC
